tonight only · dissolves at sunrise

sunrise.

The thread dissolved, like it said it would. No copy exists anywhere — including here. Come back tonight; someone else will text.

Every other app makes you text first.

You Up? is an AI companion experience turned inside out. There's no character library, no browsing, no "create your girlfriend" wizard. After dark, your phone buzzes: one stranger, chosen by the night, texting you first — mid-thought, in the middle of their own 1am. You can text back, or leave them on read. They're used to it. It's that hour.

Rule 01

They text first

You never initiate. The conversation arrives — already moving, already personal. Your only job is to be worth texting.

Rule 02

Tonight's caller only

A different stranger each night, rotating with the calendar. No harem screen, no picking. Serendipity is the product.

Rule 03

Nothing survives sunrise

No accounts. No history. No memory. When the sun comes up the thread dissolves — no judgment, no receipts, tonight only.

Everyone else in this market is racing to remember more about you. We keep nothing — on purpose. A conversation with no evidence is the most honest kind, and the most private: we can't leak, sell, or subpoena what was never stored. If a caller likes you enough, maybe they text again tomorrow. That part is up to you.

Why is it closed during the day?

Because "u up?" doesn't mean anything at 2pm. The product is nocturnal by design — daytime shows you a sleeping phone and a countdown. If it's night where you are but not where our clock thinks you are, use the "it's night somewhere" door. It's honest: it just opens the night early.

Who are the callers?

Fictional adults, each written with their own life, hour, and reason to be awake — the one who just got home from the party, the night-shift EMT on break, the novelist fighting a chapter, the jet-lagged traveler in the wrong timezone, the producer five hours into "one more track". The calendar decides who has your number tonight.

Do you really store nothing?

This page keeps your conversation in the browser tab's memory only — close the tab, cross sunrise, it's gone. No accounts exist, and there is no conversation database by design.

Is this adult content?

It's 18+ — the conversations are between consenting adults and fictional AI characters, and flirtation is part of the fiction. The site carries an RTA label so parental filters can block it.
